Surrounded by secular olive trees, 4 km. from the lake of Castelgandolfo, famous mainly for the Papal summer residence, Al Casaletto is situated in an old villa built in the 18th century and recently restored by the Mariani family who owns the restaurant and the little bed and breakfast.
The secret of their humble and simple cuisine is that it doesn’t have secret to less than to consider a secret the use of regional roducts. One of the most tasty starters are “fettuccine all’amatriciana” (egg fettuccine) “ricotta e spinach ravioli”, “gnocchi” (small patato dumplings), grilled springlamb and amongs the desserts the most famous are “ciambelline al vino” (doughnuts in wine)...
